Ghanaian actress and a film producer, Benedicta Gafah, has said she is unperturbed by the attacks and verbal abuse directed to her by the parliamentarian Kennedy Agaypong.
In an interview with TV3, Benedicta Gafah, who has been in the news recently for comments made by Kennedy Agyapong that he sleeps with Bishop Obinim said she has developed tough skin to weather such storms.
According to her, she used to be concerned about things said about her and her presence in the news but she has got used to it and does not feel any worse for comments made by the controversial lawmaker.
At first when I used to hear my stories and my names in the news and all that I used to be bothered but my elder brother sat me down one day and was like ‘if you want to be in this business, you need to grow a tough skin
whatever that is going on, is it true?’ and I said ‘no’, and he said ‘do they pay your bills?’ and I said ‘no’ and he said, ‘do they feed you?’ and I said ‘no’, do they give you shelter?’ and I said ‘no’ and he, therefore, told me not to pay attention to them and that is when I decided not to allow these things to get to me. Let me just say, I have developed thick skin now – Benedicta Gafah said.
There is a fiercely contested brawl ongoing between Bishop Daniel Obinim and Kennedy Agyapong and the latter is unresolved in his quest to expose the former.
