Ghanaian hip-hop artist, rapper, and on-air personality, Joel Orleans has announced the termination of his appointment by YFM.
In a tweet that had crying and heartbreak emojis at the end, the rapper and host announced that he has been fired from the station.
YFM is an English-speaking radio station based in Accra that has seen the termination of appointments and the sacking of staff just like other media houses.
Just today, Caroline Sampson who has been with the station for close to a decade announced her decision to end her service with Global Media Alliance.
Joel Orleans’ tweet got M.anifest reacting and urging him on. The outbreak of the Coronavirus has had many people lose their jobs and source of livelihood.
It is estimated that about 5 million people across the globe will be jobless before the virus is subdued.
Before this sad news, Joel Orleans was a presenter and a host of The Dryve on YFM.
