Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah has disclosed to his congregation that he once prophesized about the dealy Coronavirus but could not pronounce the name because it was a new epidemic.

The founder and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International defended his position that God revealed the outbreak of the disease to him but because the disease wasn’t popular he was not able to mention it.

In an interview with Accra based Kasapa FM, the controversial yet ballistic preacher said:

“I stood in my church and stated that a deadly disease will kill a lot of people in 2020 if we do not pray fervently. But I didn’t mention the name ‘coronavirus’ because I had never heard the name. What I know is Malaria, Hepatitis B and BP. Even if God had mentioned the name of the disease to me as ‘coronavirus I wouldn’t have been able to pronounce it. Even now I find it very difficult to mention the name rightly.

The Coronavirus after its outbreak in Wuhan Province of China in December 2019, has spread to almost every continent except Antarctica. Nations have put in measures to curb the rampancy of the virus.

In Africa, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, and Senegal have had a recorded case of the Coronavirus epidemic. Most neighboring African countries like Ghana are on the lookout for the virus.

The World Health Organization has issued a directive on how to keep oneself immune against the virus by observing proper personal hygiene including the washing of hands frequently.
