Ghanaian musical artist, Tinny born Nii Addo Quaynor has said that he thinks he should have been nominated in the category of Artiste of the Decade at VGMA 2019.

The rapper was in an interview with Dr. Pounds of Accra based Hitz Fm on Friday when he made the submission.


As monitored by, Aletse Kankpe as he is affectionately called said although he didn’t see his name in the list, he wasn’t surprised and didn’t allow it to bother him because it wasn’t the first time he has gone through that as artiste. “Nothing came in mind. Maybe its because I speak the truth.”

He added that he has been receiving messages from people who have followed his music over the years asking him why he wasn’t part of the nominations and he has no better answers for them rather than to say it doesn’t bother him because at the end of the day it’s a game.

He further stated that he wouldn’t go on social media to blast the organizers he isn’t that type of person.

The artiste of the year for the 20th VGMA is being keenly contested by Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini, Efya, Becca, Nacee and No Tribe and Joe Mettle.
