On Black Box Interview hosted by Ebuka, Davido revealed that he was honestly hurt for not featuring on Beyonce’s The Lion King: The Gift Album.
The DWM CEO noted that he feels it was planned by the Nigerian music industry gate-keepers to intentionally leave him out.
The ‘FEM’ hitmaker said he wondered about why all top artistes in Nigeria were featured on it but leaving him out?
David Adeleke as he’s known in real life cried that there are people close to him who were working on the Album yet they didn’t tell him anything until it was released.
“Honestly, to tell you the truth, it was something that they planned to nap on me on the album. Do you know the funny thing? I have producers that worked on the album… they’re my friends but they didn’t tell me they were working on the album”, said.
When asked if he felt bad, Davido responded: “Of course I left bad, I won’t lie to you. I was hurt. The whole industry on one album…but I know that it was planned. Like I said they keep planning against me but it won’t work… I know that they planned that thing for me but shout outs to Beyonce. I wish her success. It was a beautiful album”
