If not for Ebony, I won’t be who I am today – Wendy Shay

Rufftown Records signee, Shay has paid respect to Ebony Reigns two years after her sad demise.

Taking to her Twitter handle, the ‘Astalavista’ crooner revealed that if not for the late ‘Kupe’ hitmaker, she won’t be who she is today.

She tweeted:

“Bony thank you for inspiring me to be who I am today ..Ur legacy still lives on and I will do everything possible for it to be remembered wherever I go  Rest in Bon ✊?

Ebony Reigns died exactly 2 years today — she passed on in a gory accident on 8th February 2018.

It was a morning like this when the sad news took us by surprise breaking the heart of many.

The ‘Rufftown Records’ signee died in a fatal road accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi road.

A Jeep with the registration AS 497-16 she was travelling in from Sunyani to Kumasi had a head-on collision with a VIP bus heading towards Sunyani from Kumasi.

Ebony, who was 20 years old at that time, died with two other persons — a military officer identified as Francis Atsu Vondee and a lady friend called Frankie.

However, the driver of the vehicle escaped death.

The diva was laid to rest on 24, 2018, at the Osu Cemetery.

May she continue resting in perfect peace!!!
