I’m done with parliament for good – Stephen Asamoah Boateng.

Former Minister for Local Government and Rural Development has ruled out any possibility of returning to parliament as a lawmaker. In an interview on GVT, the former MP was Asked if he still hold any ambition of returning to parliament and he stated categorically there’s no chance as he is contempt with his SOE job….

Former Minister for Local Government and Rural Development has ruled out any possibility of returning to parliament as a lawmaker.

In an interview on GVT, the former MP was Asked if he still hold any ambition of returning to parliament and he stated categorically there’s no chance as he is contempt with his SOE job.

“as for parliamentary work I have finished. I congratulate my MP Mrs. Ophelia Mensah Hayford who won decisively in Mfantseman. Congratulations Ophelia we will do our best to make her succeed and find work for the youths. He said.

Talking about his intentions, he added but for me going forward is serving the people. I served as an MP and a Minister, right now I am looking at serving the State Owned Enterprises because that is equally an important job. Once you serve the person the position is not important to me”. He said.

Boateng was a member of the 4th parliament of the 4th republic of Ghana, representing the people of Mfantsiman West constituency. (2004 – 2008).
