Alain Da Costa for all his contribution to the development of soccer in his country, Gabon is one who has rightly earned for himself the status of a legend and one worth celebrating and emulating.
He had his birth in Libreville, Gabon in the year 1935 and he always had the desire of going into soccer and would realize his dreams as he became the coach of USM Libreville before moving on to coach the U-17 National team of Gabon.
His works were satisfactory and this would earn him an elevation to coach the Gabon Men National team. His passion and love for soccer were such that he decided coaching the National team wasn’t enough and he would then move on to the administrative side of the game by becoming the President of the Gabonese Football Federation. He did a fine job as president and is today held in high regard by the people of Gabon.
