Rakim Athelaston Mayers, better known by his stage name ASAP Rocky, is an American rapper, record producer, and music industry entrepreneur. With the hip-hop group ASAP Mob, where he also obtained his stage moniker, he started his musical career. He was reared in and is from Harlem.

Rocky’s song “Peso” became downloaded online in August 2011. It was promptly broadcast on the radio. Rocky’s first mixtape, Live. Love was made accessible.
