Well, the answer is NO! Showboy is still in jail.
He was jailed for six years for stabbing Shatta Wale’s late friend, Junior US. Showboy was found guilty and jailed on Friday, 15 March 2019.
The 2hype Gang CEO, 26, was convicted of aggravated battery for the July 2016 incident, which took place at the Wesley Herrington apartments in the United States (US), the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office revealed.
So looking at the years he has spent so far in prison, he would be released in 2025.
But I know someone might be asking that how is he able to post on social media even though he’s in jail.
Well, the system in America is different from Ghana.
Over there, inmates are able to use phone…it is not legal anyway to do so.
But just know that prisoners in the US has more freedom than prisoners here in Ghana.
That is why Showboy is still able to do music and even go live on Facebook and Instagram talking on trending issues.
He even runs his record label from prison.
