Former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Mr Koku Anyidoho, does not believe the party is well prepared up to win power in the upcoming general elections.

According to the former presidential staffer, he is not going to join the NDC campaign team because the time is not right.

Koku Anyidoho

Speaking during an interview with Osei Bonsu on Asempa FM, the staunch politician said, he can only see the NDC performing magic to possibly accede to power after the polls of December 7.

“I’m no more the Deputy General of the party and I’m focusing on my Atta Mills Institute. It’s out of the cradle; I have time for that one.

“It is too late to join the campaign team; I’m not a magician. Let those who can perform magic work and win the elections,” he said.

Quizzed by the host as to why he seems not to be adhering to the rules and regulations of the party, Mr Anyidoho said: ‘Monkeys play by sizes.” Which suggest that he is too big to subscribe to the laws of the NDC as a party.

Koku Anyidoho was one of the key members of the campaign team of the NDC in 2008 which helped to see the late Former President John Atta-Mills win power.

Therefore, his influence and experience will be missed by the NDC going into a very crucial election where they need all hands on deck.

The NDC will be locking horns with the NPP in what many believe will be one of the keenly-contested elections of the 4th republic on 7th December 2020.

John Mahama of the NDC is seeking to make a comeback while the incumbent Nana Akufo-Addo of the NPP is admonishing Ghanaians to extend his term for another four years.
