Many aftermaths took to social media to blast both Eugene and Amakye Dede by stating that the latter was forced to do so and that it was all staged to tarnish the hard-works of other Hi-Life artistes.

Some quizzed that who crowned Amakye as a Hi-Life King before passing it unto Eugene.
Ah well, according to the RockStar, he has won the ‘Highlife Artiste of the Year’ category back-to-back and as a result, deserve the crown.
“I’ve won ‘Highlife Artiste of the Year’ back-to-back. Let me say that alone proves I am doing highlife well. I do live performances too and if I have been crowned Highlife act of the new era, I don’t think there is anything bad about it. He said.
