James Enos Clyburn, is a politician and retired educator from the United States, he was born on July 21, 1940. Jim Clyburn has represented South Carolina as a Democrat in the U.S. House of Representatives. From 2011 to 2019, and till date, he serves as the House assistant Democratic leader. He has held the position of majority whip twice, which was from 2019 to 2023 and from 2007 to 2011.
