President Nana Addo spoke on the delay on the distribution of Ambulances in his recent meeting with the press as Ghana has had just 55 functioning ambulances.
Nana Addo said the reason why he hasn’t started distributing the available ambulances is that he doesn’t want to give one constituency and others will start complaining that why is that theirs hasn’t be given to them yet.
He stated that: “The Minister for Special Development Initiatives, who has been responsible for bringing them, told me a month, six weeks ago that some of the ambulances were in, should she distribute them? I said no, she should wait till they all come in so one day, we can distribute them all at the same time to all 275 constituencies.”
He added, “I saw myself getting tremendous amount of issues if I started distributing some and others did not get it.”
Well, actor turned politician John Dumelo has sent a piece of advice to Nana Addo on this issue of ambulance distribution.
In a series of tweets, Dumelo noted that Nana Addo can start distributing the ambulances that are available now whiles we wait for the rest to arrive.

“Dear @NAkufoAddo, please my suggestion. Start the distribution of the ambulances from the Northern sector.
There are less than 70 constituencies up there. Savannah, Upper West, Upper East, North East and the Northern region.
Then when the next batch arrive in Jan. you shift to the middle sector and then finally to the Southern constituencies.
Please don’t wait till all of them arrive before distributing them. People are dying. #savelives #releaseambulance.
