Gospel musician, Joyce Blessing has lost all her social media handles after divorce from her husband, Dave Joy.

Apparently, her husband who doubles up as her manager was the one managing the handles so, after their split, he has laid embargo on the social media accounts.

Joyce Blessing revealed this in her latest interview on Okay FM.

She said she has even started a new Youtube channel from scratch and that she’s still negotiating for her social media handles to be handed over to her.

But if all else fails in a week or two, she’ll have to create another one and she’ll communicate that to her fans accordingly.

The ‘I Swerve’ hitmaker refused to comment further on issues surrounding her divorce saying they can’t be discussed in the eyes of the general public.

Joyce also told fans to be expectant of her new album that will drop in July 2020.

My opinion

This issue of artiste’s getting their social media handles seized after a problem with their management is appalling.

No matter what happens, the musician deserves his/her accounts. Because it was his/her identity that was used to garner the followers.

It’s not easy to get followers on social media so seizing an account of someone who has been able to amass thousands just because of a misunderstanding is nothing to write home about.

To this end, artistes must also learn to know how to manage their own handles. So that someone would not have the audacity to seize it from them when situations of this sort arise.
