A video of an 18-year-old Junior High School (JHS) graduate who built a car with scraps went viral on social media weeks ago and he got the chance to bag a scholarship from Kwadwo Safo Junior.
The boy, who has been identified as Kelvin Odartey, drove the self-made car to the examination centre to write his final paper.
Just today, Kantanka Automobile shared photos of their new model which is clearly an upgraded version of Kelvin Odartey’.
According to Kwadwo Safo Junior, the car is known as Kantanka Akofena.
See the screenshot below:
Many people suggested that no one in Ghana will be ready to purchase such a car. Others too praised him for upgrading the version of the JHS student’ to something mega.

Ghana can actually produce functional Tech. The problem is support and encouragement. We looking at an uncompleted private project but so much criticism going on here already. Making comparisons to finished flagship products of global automakers and belittling such an effort.
