Kevin Prince Boateng has reacted to claims being made by Black Stars Coach CK Akonnor that he isn’t ready to make a return into the national team.
As part of preparations for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, CK Akonnor listed his full 23-man squad.
He was quizzed by a few journalists on whether Kevin Prince Boateng is still part of the Black Stars or otherwise.
While answering the question, CK Akonnor said after having a convo with Kevin Prince Boateng, he got to realize that the former Barcelona man isn’t ready for a return.
“… for Prince Boateng we spoke, I don’t think he wants to play for the Black Stars again” he said in a response to a question asked earlier.
Kevin Prince Boateng in his reaction said no one has spoken to him.
He responded to a tweet as captured below:
You know how many times journalists in Ghana have tried to get Kevin-Prince to speak to us since he came? Or you think journalists are all thick, eh?

When asked to throw more lights on the issue, Kevin stated that he has had a conversation with CK, but they both didn’t delve into his return into the Black Stars team.
As usual, you’re hastily generalising. Does @KPBofficial mean no journalist has tried to get through to him?
Or is he answering my initial post on CK Akonnor saying he’s spoken to him recently. Would be nice for KP to be clear, before we judge.
