He was nominated in this category with Kuami Eugene, Diana Hamilton, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Kidi, Adian, Fameye, and Adina.

The competition was such a tight one but he emerged the winner at the end of the day.

Aside this he also swept two awards; the song of the year with his hit track Enjoyment and the Afrobeat/Afropop song of the year.
