One of the cabinet ministers of the Liberian government has been flown to Ghana after his condition worsened after contracting the deadly Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Professor Ansu D. Sonii Sr. is Liberia’s Education Minister and was flown to Accra over the weekend to seek better and proper medical attention.

In a Joy News report, the minister is responding to treatment quickly than expected especially because the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where he has been admitted has the necessary medical equipment and knowhow to help.

According to Worldometer, Liberia, as of today has recorded 652 COVID-19 cases with 34 deaths and 270 recoveries. Their active cases stand at 348.

The Coronavirus situation in Africa is increasing astronomically with countries 7 countries recording more than 10,000 cases including Ghana.
