Montserrado County’s Junior Senator Geraldine Doe-Sheriff who has been battling cancer for a little over a year now has died.

Family sources confirmed the news late Saturday that the Senator succumbed to the killer disease at the Korle-Bu Teaching hospital in Accra, Ghana, where she had gone for treatment.

The late Senator had been a member of Liberia’s Senate since she won her seat on the ticket of the Coalition for Democratic Change(CDC).

This sad event occurred around 5:15pm on Saturday. Lady Zico as she is affectionately called could be described as a brave and confident who believed in the women empowerment.

Her passing is a great to the great nation of Liberia.
