Lionel Messi respond to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Serie-A challenge

Even then they are in different leagues, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo still maintain some sort of rivalry. Fans compare them no matter where they are playing. National tournament, La Liga, Serie A – their every move is highly interesting for the football community.

And Ronaldo, happily playing at Juventus is not against giving us some juicy things to discuss. Just recently joining the Bianconeri in savouring the unbeaten run in Serie A, coming off the bench at Atalanta he shows us his enjoyment. Earlier this month he urged Messi to come to Italy:

“I’d like him to come to Italy one day. I hope he accepts the challenge like me, but if he’s happy there then I respect that,” Cristiano told the press.

When asked if he misses Messi, he replied:

“Maybe he needs me more. For me, life is a challenge, I like it and I like to make people happy. He’s a fantastic player and a good guy, but I don’t miss anything here. This is my new life and I’m happy.

“I left my comfort zone and took on this challenge here in Turin, everything has gone well, I’ve proven I’m still an incredible player.”

For us fans, this kind of interaction between the players is incredibly interesting, and also fun. And to our delight, Messi addressed Ronaldo’s challenge in an interview with Marca:

“Accepting Ronaldo’s challenge to join Italian football? I don’t need any change,” the Barcelona forward told Marca.

“I’m at the best team in the world. My challenges are renewed year after year.

“I do not need to change teams or leagues to set new goals. I am at home and I do not need to change.”

With that, we can be sure Lionel will stay at Camp Nou.
