Presidential Candidate for the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama held a meeting with Commonwealth General secretary.
The Former President has been in the news for sometime now after he publicly declined conceding defeat in the Presidential election in which President Akufo-Addo secured Re-election. His stand has led to ongoing violent demonstrations against the electoral commission’s Chairperson.
To be able to resolve the ongoing dispute amicably, Mahama alongside his running mate, Jane Opoku Agyemang and party chairman, Ofosu Ampofo met the Commonwealth General secretary,Patricia Scotland to inform her about their stand on the Declaration made by Jean Mensah.
“Meeting with the Secretary General of @commonwealthsec @PScotlandCSG. Together with @NJOAgyemang , NDC National Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and others, we briefed the Secretary General on the basis of our position on the results declared by the Electoral Commission.” The Ex president wrote.
