Man allegedly commits suicide in Delta 5 weeks to his wedding after he quarreled with longtime girlfriend who accused him of leaving her to marry another woman

A 24-year-old man recognized as Chukwuka Igbonekwu has died after he allegedly drank sniper insecticide in Asaba, Delta State.

The incident occurred on Saturday, March 12, at Dr. Ambrose Okereke avenue, behind Stephen Keshi Stadium.

“There was a struggle between late Igbonekwu and his girlfriend on Thursday, March 10, 2022, after a lot quarreling and combating, we determined to enter their room to investigate what was the issue.

“The girl who has been dwelling along with him through the years till his dying mentioned that the struggle was because of the late Chukwuka wanting to go away her for one more girl,” the supply mentioned.

“After we requested the deceased what was the problem, he mentioned that he and the girlfriend are associated and in addition each of them are the identical AS genotype and subsequently can not marry.

“After the struggle, they reconciled once more and later we noticed each of them popping out from a shopping center and going dwelling on Friday.
