Yesterday Monday 23rd March, 2020 was a day set aside for a fumigation exercise in some parts of Greater Accra Region.

About 137 markets were closed down with store owners receiving an order to also shut their stores to allow this exercise to go on devoid of any preventable hitches.

This action became necessary after the Ghana Health Service confirmed 3 new coronavirus cases on March 22, 2020, taking Ghana’s total cases to 24. (but as at now, the cases has jumped to 52.)
