The western regional capital was thrown into shock this morning when a 65 year old Nigerien was crashed to death by a train.

The bizarre accident according to sources happened while the deceased whose name has been given as Ousmanu was crossing the rail this morning.

All attempt by those in the passenger train to signal Ousmanu to clear off the rails proved futile.

Police have been to the scene to covey the body to the Effia Nkwanta Hospital morgue.
