A 29 years old Ghanaian identified as Jacob Gbamri in the Talensi District has shot himself in the head minutes after his wife prevented him from taking alcohol. According to sources, the deceased returned home drunk but still insisted on toping up with some Akpetestsie from a nearby store believed to be for his wife….
A 29 years old Ghanaian identified as Jacob Gbamri in the Talensi District has shot himself in the head minutes after his wife prevented him from taking alcohol.
According to sources, the deceased returned home drunk but still insisted on toping up with some Akpetestsie from a nearby store believed to be for his wife. His Oliver Twist moment was denied by his wife who thinks he is already drunk and doesn’t need to consume more.
Minutes later a gunshot was heard and upon reaching the scene, the deceased was lying in a pool of blood with a pistol beside him.
Public affairs office of the Upper east Regional police command confirmed the incident through Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) David Fianko-Okyere.
The body of the deceased has Been given to the family for burial while the weapon used in committing the suicide is in police custody for evidence sake.
