A 27-year-old Kenyan man, Meshack Keith Bwisa has been found dead after he was declared missing in December 25th, 2019.

According to reports, the deceased said to be an employee of the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) — registry department — in Kakamega, was found after his relatives went over to his house to look for him as they prepared to celebrate the New Year festivity as a family.

The police was invited over after they knocked and found that the door was locked from the inside. Charcoal ashes were found on the floor, suggesting that Bwisa died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Kakamega Central OCPD, David Kabena revealed that the deceased left a note blaming his unsuccessful bets for his decision to commit suicide.

He said;

“The body had swollen and decomposed. It is likely Bwisa died on the night of December 25, 2019.

“There was a suicide note placed next to his body. In the letter, Bwisa blamed frustrations arising from unsuccessful bets as the reason for his suicidal ideation. In the note, he also advised the youth and his family members to refrain from betting, saying it ends up impoverishing people.”
