Man Poison himself and his children after wife threatened to divorce him.

A 30 year old man from Zambia has poisoned himself and his two kids after an alleged misunderstanding that led to his wife threatening to leave him.

The Zambia police spokesperson, Esther Katongo, confirmed the sad incident believed to take place 2 days ago January 3, in a suburb of Lusaka around 5 pm.

“According to the uncle of the deceased,who reported the incident to Police, his nephew m (The deceased)of Chunga Township had gone to his house with three children namely, Troy Sibungo (8 years),Tunity Sibungo (4 years ) Trina Sibungo (10 years), carrying a plastic bag containing a bottle of soft drinks,” The Zambian police spokesperson said.

“Later, the owner of the house spotted the female kid struggling to walk as she was leaving the bedroom. Upon checking on the other occupants, he discovered that his nephew and the two other children were in a critical condition in the bedroom and as of that time one of the children, Tunity Sibungo had died already,” she added.

They victims were rushed to the nearest hospital but couldn’t survive the poison.

“The bodies of the three deceased persons have been taken to University Teaching Hospital mortuary awaiting other examinations” Mrs Katongo stated.
