200 people contested for the category and 193 were in attendance whilst the remaining seven failed to make it to the Jubilee Hamilton Hall.
The absentees were contacted and they provided “unconvincing” reasons for not being able to make it. Explaining via a Skype video, Martin disclosed that, he doesn’t have the energy to attend. “I’ve been sleeping for the past 16 hours” he said.
However, Martin did not just leave the award with the organizers. He sent his friends to fetch the award because he wanted to sleep. This attitude has attracted the interest of many.
According to reports, Martin has only been out of his yard once in three years. It was when he went to the dentist for a checkup. He beat all the contestants to win the “prestigious” Award for Lazy Legends.
