Montell Jordan born Montell Du’Sean Barnett Jordan is a famous American pastor, singer, songwriter and record producer. He was born on the 3rd of December 1968 in South Central Los Angeles. He was born to Elijah Jordan and Deloris Jordan who were both deacons in the church.

Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, California, was where Montell attended school. He next relocated to Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where he finished his undergraduate studies in communications. During the spring of 1989, he belonged to the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.

In 1991, he received his university degree. He started out as an employee at Williams Television Time, where he helped produce TV ads. He invited his coworkers to watch him perform at a showcase when he first started his career. Shanice Wilson and Janet Jackson reportedly went to the performance.

Soon after, he produced his debut mixtape and took a plane to New York with Def Jam Records producer Russell Simmons. He joined the label in 1995 after being signed. In 2003, he parted ways with the label. Jordan took over as the choir director at Norcross, Georgia’s Victory World Church.
