Ghana’s Largest telecommunication Network, MTN has introduced a new policy that will prevent it’s Mobile Money users from withdrawing money without the use of an ID card.
In a quick Notice they published, MTN indicated the purpose of this new policy is to help identify and fight fraudsters who use several dubious means to cash out money from others, effective 1st day of February this year.
“From 1st February you must go to any MOMO Agent with your ID card for your Cash out transactions. We are in the policy of #No ID card, #No Cash out. Let’s all help this format to fight and identify the fraudsters” the notice read.
