MTN Ghana has ordered Salma Mumin to apologize to them within 24 hours or get sued for saying a Ghc10K withdrawal was made from her account with her approval.

Salma Mumin is about to be dealt with legally if she fails to apologise for saying a sum of Ghc10,000 was withdrawn from her business mobile money wallet without her approval.

Yesterday, Ghanaian actress Salma Mumin said MTN withdrew Ghc10,000 from her account without her notice.

According to her, she received an alert on her phone that the amount of Ghc10,000 has been withdrawn from her business MTN mobile money account without her consent or approval.

She angrily took to IG and fired:

@mtnghana I believe it’s your workers! It must be looked into. My money must be found!!!! ???????? ?? this is becoming unbecoming. You assure us of our monies being safe with you but it’s all lies. You people must pay our monies to us.. If you have been frauded before by this means please tag your service provider here. This is our hard-earned money.

For the rejoinder issued by MTN, they stated that the said amount of money wasn’t in the wallet of Salma. They explained that she was engaged leading to the deletion of the post.

Read part of their rejoinder below:

We wish to state categorically and for the records that the claims made in the post are false and misleading to the public and the poster’s Instagram followers. As @salmamumin is very much aware, the said amount was not in her MoMo Merchant wallet and no money had been taken from her MoMo merchant wallet as claimed.

She has been engaged on this leading to the apparent deletion of the said post.

By this rejoinder, we demand that @salmamumin immediately apologize to MTN Ghana within 24 hours of this publication. The apology must state clearly that her claim that MTN Ghana had taken money from her wallet was false and given same prominense as that of her initial post failing which the business will be compelled to take legal action against her.
