Mzvee is one of our “most valuable assets” Sarkodie

One of the most decorated rappers in Africa, Sarkodie has said that female songtress, Mzvee is one of the most valuable assets that Ghana has.

In a Facebook post, he wrote: “Mzvee is one of our “most valuable assets”????”

We can’t tell what warranted this assertion by Sarkodie.

However, Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda is indeed one of the hardworking and most consistent songstresses in Ghana.

On May 20, 2016, MzVee was nominated for the BET Awards 2016 – Best International Act: Africa category and became the first Ghanaian female musician to be nominated for a major BET Award.

Notwistanding, she took a break from the music scene for close to a year which she blamed on depression and its related issues that she claims she needed time to solve at that moment.

Soon after the hiatus, she left Lynx Entertainment Record Label.

Some critics have said that ever since she left the record label, her career has kind of taken a nose dive.

Artiste manager and entertainment critic, George Mensah Britton has for instance said that Mzvee hasn’t been making waves after she left her previous record label.

Talking to host Amansan Krakye in Cape Coast, George Britton said after MzVee’s comeback she has released about five songs with videos but none is making waves across the country.

“But if I make this candid assessment and you come and attack me then who stands to lose. Ask yourself this question that since MzVee made her comeback she’s released about four or five songs with videos but I don’t think when I ask you to mention even one of the songs, you’d be able to do so.

He concluded “I didn’t say anything bad to dampen my sister’s spirit but what I see from afar and say is to help her work harder. But nowadays when you express your opinion on an issue then it seems you hate the person you spoke about.”
