Renowned Ghanaian Travel Blogger, Akesse Sanza, has patted the back of President Nana Addo for his fight against Coronavirus and his eventual lifting of lockdown at major cities considered as epicenters.

Contrary to what MP for North Tongue Constituency Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said that it’s sad Nana Addo chose politics over science by lifting lockdown, Akesse Sanza has argued that what is the essence of enforcing a lockdown if all persons who had contacts with infected people have been traced and tested?

“As I said earlier on, Ghana is doing well with the fight against Coronavirus, and you can only see if you put down your political and religious spectacles. If we (the citizens) are to cooperate with government, we will be out of this in no time.

I posted on Akesse Sanza Writes before the President’s address that the partial lockdown will be lifted. I’m convinced by the progress so far and not alarmed by the number of cases we are recording. These are not new cases. They are part of the people identified through contact tracing.

Don’t be frightened by comments from people who claim it’s a bad decision to lift restrictions on movement. If all persons who had contacts with infected people have been traced and tested, then lockdown and it’s associated problems are not necessary.

If you can work from home, do so. Only go out when it’s really necessary, and ensure social distancing. Let’s finish hard!”
