According to the lawmaker, it is due to Nana Addo’s laziness that Ghana is recording high cases of COVID-19.
Hon. Ashiamah accused the Nana Addo led government for refusing to tell Ghanaians about the reality of COVID-19. He said this in an interview with Accra-based Kingdom FM 107.7 monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
“It is about time the government should invest more resources in the fight against COVID 19 because it looks like the country is losing the fight,” he said.
In an interaction with the host, Hon. Ashiamah said “We lost the opportunity to do great things a lot of great achievement President Akufo-Addo did not prioritize.’’
He stressed that, because President Akufo-Addo did not prioritize the measures against the spread of the virus, he decided not to close the country’s borders, hence exposing the country to the disease.
In the latest update provided by the Ghana Health Service, Ghana has recorded 607 new infections.
This surges the number of infections to 27,667 with 23,249 recoveries and 4,270 active cases.
