President Nana Addo has reacted to Sarkodie and Kuami Eugene’s ‘Happy Day’ endorsement song for him.
In a tweet, Nana Addo called the tune a ‘nice song’.
He tweeted: “Nice song @sarkodie and @KuamiEugene. Indeed, the battle is still the Lord’s. #4MoreForNana”
A few lines from Sarkodie in the song was what made people to pass it as a campaign song.
The rapper sang in Twi saying:
“When there was dumsor and inflation, I talked about it. But if today the problem of Dumsor has been solved and my children go to school for free, then I have nothing to say but to ask Nana to continue ruling”.
Meanwhile, Kuami Eugene is not happy with these developments.
Speaking in an interview, he remarked that Sarkodie did not add the part where he endorsed Nana Addo.
Kuami Eugene speaking in an interview on 3FM hosted by MzGee Ghana said:
“Sarkodie only sent me the first verse of his rap which did not contain the endorsement for Nana Addo to aid me do the chorus, it was only at the video shoot that we got to know of the second verse, we confronted Sark’s management, and they denied…I am uncomfortable, I still don’t know Sarkodie’s motive for the song, it will have an effect on my career, I wasn’t ready to vouch for any political party openly….it will not end here”.
