Nana Appiah Mensah can only run to God for help since many politicians and stake holders are fighting against the legibility of his MenzGold Business.

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ordered gold trading investment firm, Menzgold, to shut down its operations in the country immediately.

It also asked the company which has been on the warpath with the Bank of Ghana, not to take new contracts (investments) and also halt the broadcast and publishing of all its adverts forthwith.

According to SEC, evaluation of Menzgold’s documentations show the company does not have the licences to trade in gold, and that, its operations are in breach of Act 929 “as well as a threat to unsuspecting and uninformed investors”.

Just yesterday, Deputy Finance Minister said NAM1’s Menzgold is done indicating it might be completely shut down anytime soon.

In a tweet, NAM1 replied the Minister by writing; ‘Menzgold is NOT a financial institution. Menzgold is a vibrant promising African brand, that is here to stay. Menzgold is law abiding. Great is thy faithfulness, O! God. Hail! Menzgold ! Menzgold  ‘.

He however promised to address issues in relation to Menzgold on Zylofon FM come this Monday.
