He is a South African rapper, songwriter and record producer.
He is known professionally as Nasty C. He was born in Diepkloof, Soweto, Johannesburg and raised in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal.
He gained public recognition after releasing his mixtape, Price City (2015) which produced the successful single, Juice Back.
After releasing 2 mixtapes and 1 EP, Ngcobo released his critically acclaimed debut album Bad Hair (2016), and Strings and Bling(2018) which was associated and supported by his first tour, The Ivyson Tour.
Nasty CHe was the youngest recipient for an award at the 2015 South African Hip Hop Awards, namely the Best Freshman Award.

Nasty C lost his mother at the age of 11 and had to move to his father, David Maviyo Ngcobo who is a human resources manager.
Siyabonga Ngcobo, his older brother, who influenced him to rap as he learnt the basics of producing music from him while he was nine.

Nasty CNasty C Career
He started rapping at the age of 9 years having been influenced by his older brother who was a producer at the time.
He mastered the process of music production and began adding his vocals on the beats he was making. He was later signed to Free World Music- a Durban based artist management company.
His stage name Nasty C was given to him by the first producer he ever worked with.
Nasty CHe released his first mixtape One Kid a Thousand Coffins on 24 May 2013. On 4th April 2014, he released his sophomore project titled L.A.M.E (Extended Play Version) – EP.
On the 10th of February 2015, he went go on to release his highly successful mixtape, titled Price City.
From this tape was his major single “Juice Back” which later spawned a remix featuring Davido and Cassper Nyovest, produced by Gemini Major.
Right after Nasty C got his stage name “Nasty C” form his first producer, it was all the way up for him.
He had big dreams that he managed to catch as he not only got to meet one of his major influencers, AKA, but Nasty C managed to also open for him during the nationwide album launch for AKA’s debut studio album Altar Ego.
Nasty CNasty C highlighted that performing alongside Super mega at a Durban festival was one of the best experiences of his life.

Nasty C has been nominated for several awards and has on some occasions bagged them home.
Notable among them is; the Award for the Best Freshman at South African Hip Hop Awards 2015, the Award for the Song of the Year” at the 16th Metro FM Music Awards 2017, the Best Male Album at 16th Metro FM Music Awards 2017 among others.
