A conglomerate of seasoned clergymen gathered today at the ceremony to cut the sod for the commencement of the construction of the most debated national Cathedral.
At the event, the President of the Republic His Excellency Nana Ado Danquah Akufo-Addo took his turn to convince critics of the need of a national cathedral. The president said the cathedral is to demonstrate to God the nation’s appreciation of peace, stability, and growth.
However, the speech that caught the attention of many is the one made by the Leader and Founder of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh.
According to Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, the construction of a cathedral for the nation is paramount and should be done regardless of any barriers.
He said and I paraphrase: We shouldn’t politicize the building of the national cathedral. Even if we need to demolish all buildings in the capital to build this edifice, it must be done.
The ceremony was honored by both government officials and key members of various Christian institutions and organizations. The cathedral is to cost Ghana $100 million.
