Speaking on Hot FM, MP for Tongu Constituency, Kobla Mensah Wisdom Woyome has said that NDC would revamp ‘Ampe’ as a National Sports competition.
He noted that this is part of NDC’s strategy to promote traditional sports in other for them to gain international recognition.
Woyome also pointed out that revamping ‘Ampe’ would help the populace to be healthy in a sound body.
He was asked if he’s sure the NDC can be able to do this and in response, he said “these are things that are doable, it’s not rocket science. It’s something that people can engage in and do”.
According to the Tongu MP, the vision should help promote the overall health of the country’s citizens especially people who feel reluctant to exercise their bodies.
“This is the sure way to ensure your longevity in life so that we can all live long and work together to build Ghana.” he added.
