Nellie Tembe Hilton hotel Durban – Chilling details are emerging concerning how Nelli Tembe once attempted to jump off Hilton Hotel in Durban.
Apparently, the late girlfriend of South African rapper, AKA has been attempting suicide for sometime now.
The first time she tried at Hilton Hotel in Durban, she was stopped by the quick intervention of the police and rescue team.
We’ve gathered that she has an underlying problem with depression which made her to get suicidal sometimes.
Read IOL’s report on this a few months ago:
“A 22-year-old woman (Nellie Tembe) was rescued after she attempted to jump from the top of a popular hotel in Durban on Friday morning.
According to Metro police spokesperson Senior Superintendent Parbhoo Sewpersadh, it is believed the woman had been a guest at the Hilton Hotel in the Durban CBD.
Pictures of the woman seated on the roof and one of her standing on the ledge went viral on social media.
Sewpersadh said the quick action of two members from Durban Metro Police Search and Rescue, Acting Captain Jason Mangos and Inspector Lee Bryant, managed to avert the situation and bring the woman to safety.
He said the woman was the girlfriend of a prominent rapper and lived in Gauteng.
She was taken to hospital for further care.
Responding to queries, Vikram Jamwal, General Manager at Hilton Hotel, in an email responded:
“The wellbeing, safety and security of our guests is our top priority, and we are cooperating with the police following an incident at the hotel this morning. Any further enquiries should be directed to them.“

Nellie Tembe’s death
Police were on Sunday morning investigating the death of 22-year-old Nelli Tembe, the fiancée of well-known musician AKA, at the five-star Pepperclub Hotel in central Cape Town.
AKA’s publicist, Phumza Nohashe, said the Forbes and Tembe families would release a statement soon.
Witnesses at the scene described hearing shouting and a “loud doof” sound, and said they had heard a man calling security and crying.
A source close to AKA said he was “inconsolable”.
“Paramedics on scene have said a female had allegedly jumped from the 10th floor of that building. When paramedics arrived on scene, she had sustained polytraumatic injuries,” Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbst said.
“She was in a critical condition and they started a full life-support resuscitation. Unfortunately her injuries were too severe and she was declared deceased,” he added.
Pepperclub Hotel general manager Efi Ella also confirmed that a young woman had fallen from one of the upper floors of the hotel at 7.30am on Sunday.
Western Cape SA Police Service media liaison Capt FC van Wyk said crime-scene experts were looking for clues at the hotel.
“Cape Town Central police are investigating an inquest case after an incident at a hotel this morning at about 7.45am on the corners of Loop and Bloem streets, Cape Town CBD, where the body of a 22-year-old woman was found deceased,” the police said in a statement.
May her soul rest in peace.
