Founder of the National Patriotic Party and former president, John Agyekum Kufour has said that he believes his part has won the December 7th 2020 elections.

Mr. Kufuour says his belief is borne out of the fact that he has been awake monitoring the results of the elections closely.

He said he would have wished the NPP performed well in the parliamentary election adding, “but I believe that marginally we are taking the House.”

Speaking on the Asaase Breakfast Show with Kojo Mensah on Tuesday, Kufuor said: “Thank God, I believe that my party has won the presidency. Parliament I quite expected to have performed far better than it has so far.”

Whether he is disappointed in the results so far President Kufuor said “… but I thought we would do far better than that…the country appreciated the party, otherwise our president wouldn’t have performed as well as he did.

“But this shows that people are very discerning these days – they affect people individually and on merit, so they(electorates) distinguish between the president and the MPs,” Kufuor added.

As it stands, it’s hard to predict who the winner of the elections is. However, Peacefmonline has projected Nana Addo as the winner.

And in related news, the EC has promised that they’ll declare the Presidential results today.
