Exclusive information points to the fact that Bishop Daniel Obinim of the God’s Way Church International remains behind bars in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
This was confirmed by DSP Julian Obeng, Head of Public Affairs of CID that the ‘Angel’ is still in police custody after his inability to foot the Ghs100k bail.
Bishop Obinim was charged with the offences of publication of false news and forgery of document contrary to sections 208 and 159 of the Criminal and other offences Act, (1960) (ACT 29) respectively.
A Magistrate Court in Accra yesterday granted him bail in the sum of GHS100,000 with three sureties with one person to be justified.
Obinim will remain the cells until the fee is paid or the time is up for him to face the court.
