Ghanaian Travel Blogger, Travel and Tourism Consultant, Akesse Moïse Sanza, has a word of advice for over-zealous Christians.
In a post via Facebook, he remarked that even though going to church is good, too much of it make one less productive.
In his words, he noted that hard work is what makes one rich and not ‘praying for blessings’ when one is supposed to be working.
In his words, he wrote:
“Religious books have proven to be effective in consoling oneself in times of troubles. However, overindulgence in religious activities make one less productive.
Aside from people pretending to be blessed, there’s no evidence that religious people received more blessings than non-religious people.
Keep on praying. You can still attend religious gatherings as means of socialising, but don’t over do them.
The scriptures itself tells us to work or forget about food. As I do every year, I’ll urge you to take a second look at the time you spend on religious activities and pay much attention to your goals. In fact, you need more money to fit in the church of today.”
