Carolina Panthers vast receiver Shi Smith was arrested Friday on expenses of illegal carrying of a handgun, possession of marijuana, and dashing in his hometown of South Carolina, WSOC-TV’s DaShawn Brown reports.
Whereas the workforce is conscious of his arrest, they declined to remark as it’s a pending authorized matter.
ESPN’s David Newton reports Smith’s expenses included possession of a narcotic — weed — with intent to distribute, based on public information.
The 23-year-old was launched on a $5,000 bond for the narcotic cost and a further $1,000 bond for the gun-related cost. The 23-year-old has a court docket date set for June 14, which is scheduled to be the second day of Carolina’s four-day minicamp, ESPN stories.
