Ghanaian gospel singer Patience Nyarko has displayed a high sense of animosity towards a question surrounding a statement she has made about fellow gospel singer Joe Mettle.
Earlier, videos made rounds on the internet where Patience Nyarko was seen in a radio interview belittling the essence and relevance of Joe Mettle’s songs.
In the said interview, the ‘Obi Nyani Me’ hitmaker said Joe Mettle only does samples of old Pentecost and Methodist songs which means he does not write any of his songs originally.
Social media was divided on her view…while many said she has displayed pure witchcraft and jealousy, others sided with her point and agreed that Joe Mettle is an overhyped gospel act.
In a fresh video shared on the official Twitter handle of JOY FM an English-speaking radio station in Accra, Patience Nyarko was asked if she knew the song ‘Boo No Ni’ was composed by Joe Mettle and she conceded.
The interviewer went on to ask her if she will ever have to apologise to Joe Mettle for making such a slanderous comment about him but Patience Nyarko said she has nothing to apologize about.
The last straw that broke the camel’s back was the question about research which has been conducted on the songs of Joe Mettle to ascertain that he has written 40 of his songs. Patience Nyarko sarcastically asked whether 60 can be added to the 40 to make it 100.
At this point, she was livid and decided to walk out of the interviewer.
