Nana Yirenkyi I, who is the Mampong Akuapem Apesumakahene, has said pragmatic steps are being taken by the local traditional council to stop Rosemond Alade Brown from using ‘Akuapem’ in her name.

According to him, per their checks, the popular socialite and actress do not hail from Akuapem thus it is even inappropriate for her to bear the name and bring it under disrepute.

“We have taken steps to stop that girl who call herself Akuapem Poloo to stop using Akuapem to call herself. She does not come from Akuapem and she does not have the right to use it

We will not allow her to drag our name as Akuapems in the mud,” he said in an exclusive interview.

Akuapem Poloo in the past few days came under severe bashing after she shared a sexually-suggestive photo of herself and child in a birthday wish.

She, later on, came out to apologize to all Ghanaians but for the Nana Yirenkyi I, it is high time Akuapem Poloo is stopped from using the name.
