President Akufo-Addo will be returning to normal duties after completing his 14-day mandatory self-quarantine today.
He had to take this health measure as a precaution against COVID-19 after a close associate of his tested positive for the virus.
In a press breeding, the Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said the president will be resuming work on Monday, July 20, 2020.
“The president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is expected to resume out home engagement from tomorrow after a 14-day precautionary self-isolation period,” he said.
“The President has during the period been working from the Presidential Villa at the Jubilee House. He is expected to from Monday, attend to business from his office at the Jubilee House. Additionally, he will attend to some engagement outside Accra during the week,” he said
The Minister went on to thank Ghanaians for their prayers and well wishes for the president during the past fourteen days.
He debunked the rumour that the president was flown out of the country for medical attention.
