It’s no more news that the deadly Coronavirus is in Ghana — about 6 cases have been recorded so far according to reports.

Well, one product that has become a hotcake in the Ghanaian market nationwide is hand sanitizers.

Citizens have been advised to have possession of at least one which can be used regularly to reduce surface contamination by bacteria to a safe level.

It’s however sad that the prices of these sanitizers have now skyrocketed.

Some brands which were sold GHC30 have not jumped to GHC150.

As it is in Economics, prices increase when there’s a higher demand but lesser supply.

It’s simply bad anyway to exploit us this much.

In related news, Ghana Education Service has suspended all school activities until further notice.
