Founder and Leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministry, Prophet Kumchacha, has unequivocally condemned the loose speech by Counsellor Lutterodt about rape and their victims.

According to the prophet, the counsellor failed in communicating properly and what he said was a show of immaturity influenced by his inability to control his tongue on public television.

Speaking on Adom FM’s Work and Happiness Show, Prophet Kumchacha admitted that they sometimes speak loosely on radio and television and sometimes realize it long after the damage has been done.

“We all speak on radio and sometimes we do make mistakes in the way we speak but more often than not, the public do not get what we want to say becuase we do not communicate it well,” he said.

Speaking about the possible ban placed on Counsellor Lutterodt, Prophet Kumchacha said he doesn’t think that should be the case since he has already rendered an unqualified apology.

“Why are they calling for him to be banned? I don’t know which part of the constitution says if someone doesn’t speak well we should ban him.

“Otherwise we would have arrested a lot of the politicians because with them some of them if they speak, you will think there is war about to happen yet we still give them the platform,” he said.

Counsellor Lutterodt in a television interview a few days ago stated categorically without mincing of words that rape victims do enjoy the act.

These comments by the self-styled counsellor have been described as preposterous, denigrating and criminal and many have called for his head.

Public officials, celebrities and the entire populace rose to condemn his loose speech and called for him to be sanctioned and banned from speaking on Ghana’s airwaves.
